District Responsibilities

Districts have no financial obligations to Teach-USA.

Districts will tie-up with the J1 visa sponsoring agency that Teach-USA has third party agreement with to facilitate the visa processing of foreign teachers to comply with requirements set by the US Department of State.

Districts are not financially responsible for visa sponsorship for the Filipino teachers, although they can do so, too.

The districts' responsibility is to provide support to teachers such that they are effective and successful in the classroom.

Letter of No Objection

The New Mexico Public Education Department (NMPED) has approved Teach-USA's application for No Objection Letter for SY 20-21.

The letter is available upon request.

To support NMPED's run to compliance, please make sure new J1 teacher-applicants in your district are being facilitated by agencies and sponsors who are given No Objection Letters by them.
