Strong Foundations LEA FAQs

TEA recommends having one Approved Provider (AP); however, LEAs can choose to contract with different providers for Strong Foundations Planning and Strong Foundations Implementation if awarded both grants. 

LEAs and Approved Providers will build out their contracts independently of TEA. TEA does not provide a contract template. The LEA will work with an Approved Provider to develop a contract that works best for their individual LEA needs and accomplishes the grant deliverables. We recommend you check with your district to understand your local requirements for the contracting process and follow those.

Executed contracts should be submitted to your LEA's individual Google folder. If you do not know how to access that folder, please email strongfoundations@tea.texas.gov. After submitting your executed contract, you will need to indicate to TEA that you have done so, by filling out the following forms:

Strong Foundations Planning: LASO Cycle 3 LEA & AP Executed Contract Submission Form

Strong Foundations Implementation: (After you have added your contract to your folder, no action required! Your AP will complete this form on your behalf!) 

You can view all recordings on the Strong Foundations Interactive Calendar. Recordings should be available within five business days of the original meeting.

If you double click on an event, you will see the details including the Anchor Document, where you will find the Exit Ticket which you can complete after viewing the recording to make up your missed attendance.

Our grants negotiation team distributes NOGAs on a rolling basis. A grants negotiator will reach out directly with any potential issues. No further action is needed from you. 

At this point all grant awardees for LASO Cycle 3 have been notified for Part C awards. We'll share important LASO 3 dates and next steps for awarded districts soon.
