It is possible that the connection from mobile devices to the TDSB Outlook system gets interrupted.
If you do experience a problem, you will need to add back your Outlook account to your mobile device.
Here are some general instructions on how to do so on Android and iOS devices:
Android
You will need to remove and then add back your Outlook account on your mobile device.
Remove your Outlook Account To remove your TDSB email account on to your Android device, follow these steps.
1. Search for Settings app within your phone.
2. Within the Settings app, select Accounts and backup.
3. Under Accounts and backup, select Accounts.
4. Under the Accounts window, look for your TDSB account and select it.
5. Select Remove Account to complete the process of removing the TDSB email account from your Android device.
Adding your Outlook Account
1. Add Your Outlook account by going to Settings > Accounts > Add Account > Exchange 2. Enter your TDSB Email Address (firstName.lastName@tdsb.on.ca) and tap Next. 3. Enter your TDSB Network Password, and tap Sign in.
4. Your device will try to find your Outlook server. Depending on your device, you may have to enter additional server information: Domain\Username: tdsb\employee number Server: mobile.tdsb.on.ca Port: 443 Security Type: SSL/TLS 5. If your device does not have a valid screen lock requirement, you will be prompted with the following screen. Follow the on-screen instructions to update the screen lock.
6. Once the devices meets the screen lock requirement, you will see the following screen. Tap Done to complete the setup process.
7. You can now view your TDSB email from the default Mail app on your phone.
iOS
Adding your Outlook Account
1. Tap Settings > Mail.
2. Tap Accounts.
3. Tap Add Account.
4. Tap Microsoft Exchange
5. Enter your TDSB Email Address (firstName.lastName@tdsb.on.ca). The description will auto-populate, change to TDSB Email for clarity, then tap Next at the upper right corner.
6. Tap Sign In.
7. Enter your TDSB network password and tap Next. Note: If you have been migrated to the online environment when signing in you will be redirected to the Microsoft sign-in page (Azure SSO). Enter your TDSB network password and tap Sign in. Microsoft sign in page (Azure SSO)
8. You can sync Mail, Contacts, Calendars, Reminders, and Notes. When you're finished, tap Save. It can take a few minutes for all of your data to sync from the server.
9. You can now view your TDSB Outlook email from the built-in Mail app on the Apple device.
