WHAT IS A SHSM (SPECIALIST HIGH SKILLS MAJOR)?
A Specialist High Skills Major is a Ministry-approved specialized Grade 11 and 12 program that allows students to focus their learning on a specific economic sector while meeting the requirements of the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD). It also assists them with the transition after graduation to university, college, apprenticeship, or to the workplace.
RH King now offers two Specialist High Skills Major programs in Business, and Arts & Culture.
Students may enroll in one SHSM program in grade 11 or 12 .
