School Council is Open to Everyone
You're invited!
Every parent/caregiver in TDSB is invited to attend their School's Council meeting. These meetings are an opportunity to listen, learn, give feedback and advise on solutions to issues that are community and school-wide.
Parents and caregivers are an important part of the school experience. Each family and community has gifts, strengths, and levels of expertise that can help shape what happens in school and the community.
What to expect at a School Council meeting?
Parents/caregivers, principal/vice principal, teachers, other staff, and community;
Welcome and introductions;
An agenda for the meeting;
Conversation about school-wide initiatives, achievements, challenges, and solutions;
Principal's updates;
Questions and answers (Q & A);
Updates from sub-committees (i.e. executive, equity, communications, events, safe and caring schools, nutrition, and/or fundraising, budget).
