Information for Graduates

Dear CALC Secondary Graduates and Potential Graduates of 2026,

It is our pleasure to invite you to this year’s Graduation Ceremony, taking place on Thursday, June 25, 2026.

If you have not yet graduated and are a potential graduate, please meet with your Guidance Counsellor to review your final requirements.  These requirements may include community hours (40), the literacy requirement (OSSLT test or OLC course), or missing credits.

To be included in the ceremony, you must RSVP by completing the required steps using this link by June 8.

Please note that  due to limited space, tickets are required for entry.  Each Grad will be given 2 tickets for their guests.  Tickets are subject to availability and will need to be picked up in person in the Library the week of June 15 through 19 from 9:00 am to 1:15pm.    Beyond these two guests, additional family and friends may be seated in the gymnasium, where the ceremony will be livestreamed on video. Graduates will have priority seating in the Auditorium.

Event Details

WHEN:  June 25, 2026

(If you do not receive an email from EdVance Guidance by May 27, please visit C-Square Guidance Office for assistance.)

TIME:  The official Ceremony starts at 1:30PM (All Guests must be seated by 1:15pm to ensure a prompt start.)
 

GRADUATES: Must arrive by 12:30pm and go up the ramp to C-Square (west side closest to bridge) to the front building (above the parking lot) to prepare for the ceremony.  BRING your “Graduation” ticket with you - this is your proof that you have RSVP’d.
 

GUESTS: Ticket holders must arrive by 1:15pm  and use the Main entrance (Door 1) to make their way to the Gymnasium for seating. 

WHERE:

The ceremony will take place in the Cafetorium (2nd floor). Overflow seating will be available in the gymnasium for guests with a ticket.

PARKING:

We are located across the road from Broadview Subway Station.  If you decide to drive, there is city parking located along Broadview and Danforth roads.  More information posted below.

GRADUATION PHOTOS:
You can now BOOK your graduation photos for CALC at www.bookmygrad.ca using our school code: OAY.  Dates are limited so please do this ASAP!

DIPLOMAS:

Official Diplomas will be awarded to students immediately after the ceremony on June 25 (in the library).

Students will need to present their official government photo ID or Student Card before being issued their diplomas.

For students unable to attend the ceremony,  diplomas will be available for pick up:  Weekdays from June 29 - July 9 between 9:00am to 3pm in EdVance Guidance.

Note: the school will be closed Wed. July 1st for Canada day.

🚇  Getting Here by TTC (Recommended)

City Adult Learning Centre is located at the corner of Danforth Ave and Broadview Ave, directly across the street from Broadview TTC Station. The walk from the subway exit to the front doors of CALC takes Approximately 2-3 minutes.

Broadview Station (Line 2 – Bloor-Danforth)

•    Exit at the Danforth Ave / street level exit — CALC is immediately visible across the intersection.

•    Streetcar routes 504 King and 505 Dundas connect to Broadview Station from downtown.

•    Several TTC bus routes also serve Broadview Station from Pape, Cosburn, and Mortimer.

🅿️  Private Parking Lots

•    706–728 Broadview Ave (No Frills plaza): Closest private lot to CALC, immediately south of the school. Evening flat rate of approximately $5 after 5:45 PM. Pay attention to posted signage — some spaces are reserved for No Frills customers only during store hours.

•    15–39 Erindale Ave: Private surface lot ~600 m away, popular with Danforth Music Hall visitors. Can fill up on event nights — arrive early if possible.

🛣️  City of Toronto Residential Street Parking

Residential streets surrounding CALC (such as Jackman Ave, Langley Ave, and Playter Blvd) offer street parking subject to City of Toronto regulations. Key rules to know:

•    Permit Parking Zones: Many side streets in this neighbourhood are designated Permit Parking areas. Look for posted signs indicating permit hours (commonly 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday – Friday). Outside posted hours, parking is generally free for visitors.

•    1-Hour or 3-Hour Limits: Some residential blocks have timed limits during the day. Always check posted signage before leaving your vehicle.

•    On Danforth Ave itself: Parking is generally prohibited during rush hours (7:00–9:00 AM and 4:00–6:00 PM, Mon–Fri). Metered parking is available at other times.

•    No Parking Zones: Fire hydrant clearances (3 m), bus stops, and intersections are standard no-parking zones. Fines apply.

•    Overnight Parking: A City of Toronto overnight parking permit is required to park on any street between 1:00 AM and 6:00 AM. Apply at toronto.ca/parking.
