Will Peabody graduated from Taylorville High School in 2008. He lettered in baseball in both his junior and senior years and was a three year letter winner on the wrestling team. 

Wrestling at 119 pounds, Peabody was selected as Team MVP in both his junior and senior seasons. He was also recognized for his success by being selected All Central State 8 also as a  junior and senior.  He capped his senior season by winning the 119 pound IHSA Regional Championship and became the first wrestler in Taylorville history to qualify to wrestle in the IHSA State Meet.
