Bo Lykins

Justin Bo Lykins  graduated from THS in 1996 and lettered four years in track, one year in football, one year in soccer and three years in Basketball.  An athlete with multiple skills, Bo Lykins showed his greatest talent for the Tornadoes on the basketball court. A three year starter, Bo averaged 10 points a game, was selected an All- CS8 Honorable Mention member and was awarded the very first Charleston Tournament.

As a junior, Bo scored 276 points, was in the top five CS8 assist leaders and was selected to the Springfield Journal All Area honorable mention team.  Scoring 409 points his senior season, Bo led the team in scoring and was among the top five in the CS8.  As a result of that stellar season, Bo was named CS8 all Conference first team, Decatur Herald and Review All- Area, Charleston Holiday Tournament all-Tournament Team, Decatur Herald and Review All Star Game, Lincoln Land Area All-Star Game and News Talk 1410 Radio Player of the Year.  

Culminating his career at THS, Bo scored 918 points, placing him 12th on the All-Time scoring list and scored 100 three-pointers, placing him 5th on the career list.  Following high school,  Lykins played basketball at Lincoln Land Community College one year and averaged 12.1 points a game.  The following year, he enrolled at Campbellsville University in Kentucky where he played on the 30-3 Tigers varsity.

Not just a single sport athlete Bo Lykins ran sprints and participated in the long jump on the Tornadoes track team all four years of his high school career and was selected MVP his junior season.  He also played on the varsity Tornado football team his sophomore year and earned  a letter on the soccer team his senior year.
