Ken Hart

Ken Hart is no stranger to Taylorville High School and it’s athletic program and is being inducted into the Hall of Fame as Friend of Sports. A father of two sons and a daughter who were active Tornadoes throughout their high school careers, Ken Hart has always shown interest in helping all of the different athletic program offerings not only in the school system, but throughout the community.    He coached and assisted with the Biddy Basketball program in its infancy. He served on the Red Bland Little League Board and coached T-Ball, Little League and Pony League at Manner’s Park.

Actively involved with many aspects of the Christian County YMCA he was a fixture on the sidelines as a coach in the early years of the soccer program.

Ken Hart was instrumental in supporting physical improvements at Taylorville High School, including improvements to the sprinkler system at the athletic complex, securing new scoreboards for the West Gymnasium, as well as helping the track and field program through contributions for the new track and new equipment for the athletes.

He has been a avid supporter of the Sports Boosters and has volunteered and played in the Tornado Open since its inception.

With his business background and his community involvement, he has been able to provide guidance and leadership in ensuring programs received the community support when and where it was needed. The Taylorville High School Athletic program is appreciative of his energetic support and his continued encouragement for excellence.
