Darcy Dague - Scheuer

Darcy culminated her Tornado basketball career by being named to both the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association  and the Champaign News-Gazette All-State Teams.

Following graduation, Darcy attended Western Illinois University, where she was a member of the Division I Leatherneck Volleyball Team.

She was a three year all-tournament selection in each of the Galesburg , Jacksonville and Carrollton Tournaments.  Highlights of her personal bests include a school record 26 games in double figures in a single season, a high single game record of 41 points and the second career scoring record of 1499 points.

Darcy Dague Scheuer graduated from THS in 1993 and was a two sport standout lettering four years each in volleyball and basketball.   In the fall, on the volleyball court, Darcy immediately made an impact on the team as a freshman.  She earned All-Apollo Conference Honorable Mention in her first season.    During her sophomore and junior seasons, Dague was selected to the Edinburg All-Tournament Team and received First Team All-Apollo Conference accolades both seasons. As  a senior, Darcy led the Tornadoes to their second straight Apollo conference championship, was again selected to the All-Apollo Conference First Team. She was named team MVP and Co-Captain and earned All-Tournament status at both the  Mattoon and Carlinville tournaments.On the basketball court, Darcy was equally impressive. A starter all four years, she became the second All-Time Leading Scorer for the Tornadoes with 1,499 career points.  As a freshman, Dague was selected as an honorable mention All-Apollo Conference member.  Scoring 598 points her sophomore season, Darcy earn All-Apollo Conference First Team honors and an All Decatur Area 2nd team selection.  She repeated as an All-Conference player as a junior. As a senior, she was again a first team All-Apollo selection, was a Decatur All Area Selection,  was WTIM  MVP winner, co-team MVP and was selected to participate in the Illinois Women’s Basketball Coaches Association All-Star Game.  She was chosen a Springfield All Area selection in 1991, 1992 and 1993.  The Decatur Herald and Review honored Darcy with  an All-Area First Team selections both in 1992 and 1993.
