Rick Bonn

Rick Bonn graduated from Taylorville High School in 1974 and was one of the most prolific scorers and rebounders in Tornadoes' history.

Rick Bonn, at 6'4 was a three year starter for the Tornadoes from 1971 thru the end of the season in 1974. During that time he scored a total of 1078 points for a three year average of 15.6 points per game, placing him third on the all time list of scorers in Tornadoes basketball history. His 34 points against Hillsboro also placed him tenth on the single game scoring record list.

Not only was Bonn a scorer, but during his senior year, he pulled down 268 rebounds, giving him an average of 11.7 rebounds a game. This total, paired with his 19.8 points per game scoring average, gave him an average of a double, double during that season. His field goal percentage was a team leading 50%.

A Mid-State Conference honorable mention selection his junior year, Rick Bonn was a unanimous first team All Conference selection in 1974.
