Triad High School is a member the Illinois Heartland Library System. Students using our book catalog have access to the combined database of all the Heartland libraries, about three million books. The book catalog is available online so it may be accessed on any computer connected to the Internet.

Books requested from other libraries in the system are delivered daily to our library. We currently have over 12,000 volumes, thousands of e-books, electronic databases via the Internet, and a variety of newspapers and magazines.

The library provides a place for recreational reading and also a research and study area. Teachers can bring their whole class in to the library to work, or individual students are welcome. It is our goal to integrate the library program with the curricular and instructional program of the school. Ms. Bernaix is available to assist with research or to answer any questions. Please do not hesitate to ask for help.

Q: How many books am I able t0 check out at a time?
A: You may check out five books at a time.
Q: Can I renew my books online?
A: Yes!
Here are the directions:
1) From this page, click on "our library's book catalog"
2) Click "sign in" at the top right, and log in using your username (ID number) and password (1234)
3) Once logged in, click on your name, and then select "Checked Out Titles"
4) Find the book you wish to renew, and click the blue renew button
Q: How do I view everything in our library's collection?

Q: What if the library doesn't have the book I'm looking for?
A: Our library is a member of SHARE, which means that we have access to books from libraries across the state of Illinois through interlibrary loans. Once you find the book you're looking for in the library catalog, you may request in from another library. Come see me if you need help requesting a book!
Q: I'm not sure what to read. Can you help me find a book?
A: Yes, of course! Come chat with me and I'd love to help you find something. You may also fill out this book request form and I'll send you a personalized list of book recommendations. The library's genre jar is a quick way to find your next book as well.
Q: I lost my book. What do I do?
A: Come see me to pay for the cost of your book and the $3 processing fee. You'll need to pay this in order to purchase prom tickets and get your diploma.
