Teacher Bio

Hi, I'm Mrs. Cheek and I am so excited to teach first grade this year at BES! I have 20 years of experience in the field of education.

I am married and have two children—our daughter, a high school senior, and our son, a sophomore. We have a German Shorthaired Pointer, Barley.

In my free time, I enjoy reading, traveling, and spending quality time with my family.

Welcome to Our First Grade Class!

I'm so excited to begin this school year with a group of bright, curious, and kind students. In our first grade class, we’ll be learning so many new things—how to read more fluently, solve addition and subtraction problems, explore the world around us, and grow as friends and learners. My expectation for this year is that we work hard, try our best, and support each other every step of the way. I know we’re going to have a fun, respectful, and successful year together!
