Teacher Bio

Hello, I am Heather Corn.  I am teaching 1st grade for the 6th year with Transylvania County Schools.  I taught special education for 4 1/2 years before that.  

I have been married for 28 years and have 3 children ages 25, 23, and 14.  I also have a 2-year-old granddaughter whom I adore. 

I enjoy swimming, reading, camping, and knitting. I love plants and spending time with family.

I have two children with academic challenges.  When I teach I strive to treat my students the same as I would like others to treat my kids.
