I have been teaching for 32 years. I have taught at Brevard Elementary since 2001. I am married and have two sons. Our family has two cats and chickens. I like to go fishing with my family and shopping. I also enjoy reading mysteries and working jigsaw puzzles. My favorite color is purple. I like many different kinds of flowers. Almond Joy candy bars, strawberry Twizzlers, M&Ms and popcorn are some of my favorite snacks!

Welcome to My Class!
In our class, students apply reading skills through strengthening vocabulary, studying grammar usage, and reading novels. Social Studies is integrated into novel studies and other activities. Arts expression and creation are used within teacher-directed activities, as well as projects students choose and complete independently. I enjoy teaching students to really "dig deep" into what they read. I encourage students to look into meaning and analyze connections related to themselves and the world around them.
