Meet the Teacher
My name is Mrs. Kelsie Skaggs. This is my 7th year teaching at Strayhorn Elementary. I taught Special Education for the first 6 years of my teaching career. Although this is my first year teaching 6th grade Math, I student taught in 6th grade Math here at Strayhorn Elementary during the 2014/2015 school year.
My husband Michael, and my son, Bohannon reside in DeSoto County. We both grew up in DeSoto County where I graduated from Hernando High in 2010.
I received my Bachelors Degree from The University of Mississippi (Hotty Toddy!) and I received my Master's Degree from Arkansas State University (Go Red Wolves!).
A few of my favorite things: Halloween, spending time with my family, reading, being outside (during Fall/Winter), and watching scary movies.
