Our Induction Ceremony was held on Saturday the 25th of October 2025, in ED 212 at 11:00 am. Applications for the October 2026 Induction will be accepted in the spring term of 2026.
Full national members must:
Have completed at least 4 college level English or English-related classes (writing, film studies, linguistics, etc.)
Have a TCNJ GPA of 3.30 or better
Have earned at least 30% of the course units towards their BA / BS degree (9-10 units)

Sigma Tau Delta's chapter at The College of New Jersey recognizes the same goals as those of the national organization. Our goals include distinguishing undergraduate students, graduate students, scholars in academia, and professional writers who are recognized for their accomplishments in linguistic or literary fields, promoting interest in literature and the English language on local campuses and their surrounding communities, and fostering the discipline of English in all its aspects, including creative and critical writing.

The spookiest night of the year is nearly upon us! Join us for a Literary PowerPoint night themed around the horrifying and the haunting on October 29th, 2025, in Bliss 228 at 4:00PM. Talk about your favorite piece of media that matches the season with your fellow members! And feel free to dress up in your costumes— there are only so many opportunities to dress up the older we get.
