Lydia is currently the Instructional Technology Coordinator for Ferris ISD. Ferris ISD is located 20 minutes south of Dallas, TX. It is a 1:1 Google Workspace for Education district. Lydia supports the Instructional Technology Specialists as well as libraries and Library Media Specialists. Additionally in April of 2021, she was appointed TCEA Area 10 Director. She enjoy connecting with and supporting the members in her Area. She loves TCEA and is honored to be a Board member!
This is Lydia's 19th year in education. She left the classroom after 11 years of teaching the entire spectrum of high school RLA. For 6 1/2 years, she was a member of the iTeam in Richardson ISD. Her experiences there included supporting a 1:1 rollout initiative, providing professional learning on instructional technology best practices, working with curriculum on technology integration, and supporting the online classroom option after students returned from at-home learning.
