Along - This digital reflection tool can be used to deepen student-teacher connections and set up a system for regular check-ins. Teachers post a prompt (either one they've created or one selected from a database of research-informed questions). They then add their own response to the prompt before sharing with students. Students see the prompt and their teacher’s response (these can be created in video, text, or audio) and then post their own response in a completely private and secure setting. Free.

Mighty Owl - From the creator of BrainPOP come these free videos for grades K-7 in ELA, math, and science. A free teacher account is required to access the videos.
Project Zero's Thinking Routines Toolbox - Ramp up student understanding and engagement with these research-based thinking routines. Everything you need to implement them is included. Free.
Rewordify - Use this free tool to simplify difficult passages, teach vocabulary words, and more. You can copy and paste your own text into it or pull from a huge library of classic literature and public documents. Settings allow you to designate a difficulty level. The site is designed for students 13 and up and offers a free login for individualized learning.
Summarize This - Students copy and paste text into the box and it is summarized for them. A free tool that requires no registration.
Virtual Stickerboard - Individually or together, students add virtual stickers to a board following a set diagram to create a finished picture. Try this sample one I created. Free.
Word Wanderer - Use this free tool for students to see what words they are using too much in their writing. Simply copy and paste their text into the box and it will build a word cloud of words used.
ChatGPT - ChatGPT is a natural language processing tool driven by AI technology that allows you to have human-like conversations and much more with the chatbot. Animated Drawings - This cool site takes a child's (or adult's) drawing and animates the character in it. It can then be uploaded to social media or downloaded. The tool requires no registration and is free.

SummarizeYT - This Chrome extension will summarize a YouTube video in the thumbnail with ChatGPT. You get 10 free summaries. After that, it is $5/month.
Parlay and Parlay Genie - Parlay allows teachers to set up virtual round table discussions with students; it's very powerful. Parlay Genie is an AI-powered discussion prompt generator. Both of these offer a free version that contains pretty much everything you would need and they provide Google Classroom Integration, Google Sign On, and Microsoft Sign On. GPTZero - This free site lets you check text to see if it was created by a human or AI.
SchoolAI - Save hours of time you normally spend on emails, marking homework, lesson plans, ideas, creating quizzes, brainstorms, reports, and more with the help of this tool. It has a limited free program, but is $120/year for unlimited access.
Trivvi - This site will take content you share with it and create three or five questions from the content. Students can then play a game to answer online. The Basic version is free with more features in the paid Pro version for $5/month. Check out this example I created on the Battle of the Alamo.
Dad-J: Modern Calorie Tracker - This free iOS app blends real-time human and AI coaching to help you meet your nutrition goals. Track your food, fitness, and mindfulness habits so you can learn from them, change them, and achieve your health goals. The basic plan is free; additional features are available for $19.99/year.

National Geographic Online Courses for Educators - These courses range in content, length, and schedule, and are open to any educator from anywhere in the world who works with students in either a formal or informal setting. Free.
Talking Points - This free app allows teachers and parents to message each other in their preferred language. The teacher can send out a message in English, and the parent can have it translated into one of over 100 languages. Parents can also respond in their preferred language and it will be translated back for the teacher. It’s available as a mobile app or text-only for parents who do not have smartphones.
Text Blaze - This tool is a huge time saver. Save smart text templates and insert them anywhere using keyboard shortcuts, eliminating repetitive typing through keyboard shortcuts that help you quickly paste in text.
