About Thiagarajar College of Engineering
Thiagarajar College of Engineering, an autonomous govt. aided Institution, affiliated to the Anna University is one among the several educational and philanthropic institutions founded by Philanthropist and Industrialist Late. Shri.Karumuttu Thiagarajan Chettiar. It was established in the year 1957 and granted Autonomy in the year 1987. TCE is funded by Central and State Governments and Management. TCE offers a wide array of Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Ph.D. Programs across various disciplines of Engineering, Architecture and Science. The campus is set within a serene and eco-friendly environment surrounded by dense vegetation and best infrastructure facilities. TCE has consistently embraced reforms and upgrades in its Teaching-Learning processes. TCE has adopted the Conceive Design Implement Operate (CDIO) framework, shaping curriculum design, pedagogical methods, and assessment techniques, with adequate hands-on training to students. The institution has also launched Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) in 2021 and introduced the Thiagarajar Research Fellowship (TRF) scheme for Ph.D. research scholars, furthering its commitment to academic excellence and research innovation.
About the Department
The department of Information Technology has started in the year 1999 and accredited by NBA, India. The department has seven laboratories including Motorola sponsored Enterprise Mobility lab, Honeywell supported IoT Lab, Cognitive Science Research Lab, and Data Analytics Lab. The department has experienced faculty members with PhD’s and Publication in International Journals.
About the IEEE CIS Summer School
This IEEE CIS Summer School aims to provide much understanding of Computational Intelligence Techniques for Engineering Applications (CITEA) for the participants. The lectures will cover the recent trends and developments in CIT through eminent speakers from national and international reputed institutions. The Hands-on exercises will develop the skill set of the students/scholars through various tools. The school will give an opportunity to young students and research scholars to think, innovate, design and create new solutions to Engineering problems through Hackathon.
