Activity # 3 Kindergarten- Grade 3
Each one of us is a gift of God and have been blessed with a name. Let us take some time to explore our name. Ask your family the following questions and write your responses on a google document in your google drive to share with your teacher or use a notebook to write your responses.
Who chose my name? How did you decide on my name?
Does my name have a meaning? If so, what does my name mean?
Write your responses on a google document in your google drive to share with your teacher or use a notebook to write your responses.
Write your name using items around your house to create the letters in your name. (for example; buttons, string, pebbles, blocks, beads, playdough, beans etc) and take a picture of your name art. You will be sharing it with your teacher and peers.
As you work on your name creation listen to the song, Here I Am Lord.
Accommodation/Modification: Print your child’s name on a piece of paper and invite them to place loose parts on top to form the letters, then take a picture to upload.
Place shaving cream on a tray and have your child trace their name with a finger or small spatula, then take a photo to share. You can help your child to share how to say their name. You are encouraged to video record your child saying their name so you can play it back for them. This will help them practice.
