A big thank-you to all of the students, teachers, administrators and parents who supported our summer transition program! Our hope is that you feel better prepared and more confident as you enter high school in our Notre Dame community.

We look forward to meeting you again in the fall for our first day of school on Tuesday September 5th, 2023 @8:30am.

WELCOME TO DAY 15 of our SUMMER SCHOOL TRANSITION PROGRAM!

1. Friendly reminder - tomorrow is the last full academic day of the term. Please ensure you are handing in all assignments to your teachers.

2. On Thursday, please meet in the CAFETERIA RIGHT AT 9AM so we can all make it to our field trip on time. We will be taking attendance in the cafeteria and leaving shortly afterwards.

3. Our last days of summer school look like they will be very hot! Be sure to pack sunblock, sunglasses, a refillable water bottle and anything else you may need to beat the heat :)

WELCOME TO DAY 13 of our SUMMER SCHOOL TRANSITION PROGRAM!

1. Tomorrow is Halloween in July! Please wear your school appropriate Halloween Costumes and enjoy some trick or treating.

2.  If you would like to purchase concessions for our movie next Thursday July 27th, Cineplex is offering a Kid's Combo for $8.48 including tax. As we are watching the movie before the theater officially opens for the day, we do have to order our concessions in advance. The combo they are offering includes:

   1. 1. a junior popcorn

      2. junior fountain drink and 

      3. junior candy

If you would like to order this combo, please bring in your funds to the office by 3pm on July 24th.

WELCOME TO DAY 12 of our SUMMER SCHOOL TRANSITION PROGRAM!

1. Tomorrow - Dina, our student supervisor, will be making grilled cheese for breakfast, as well as macaroni and cheese and hot dogs for lunch! This is free of charge.

2.  In the spirit of Dame, we will learn the Dame Cheer tomorrow, engage in some Dame Games Trivia and have a special giveaway in our opening exercises.

WELCOME TO DAY 11 of our SUMMER SCHOOL TRANSITION PROGRAM!

1. Report cards came home on Monday July 17th. 

2. Today, we had a film fest with our brother school, Neil McNeil, featuring student created movies, popcorn and a mini red carpet!

3. We will be having a mass for our HIF class on Thursday July 20th at St. John's beginning at 1:45pm. 

4. Note to Parents - On Friday July 28th at noon, we will have a "Meet the Teacher Mingle" until 1:30pm. There will be cookies, coffee and teachers who are happy to meet you and discuss our school. Looking forward to seeing you there!

WELCOME TO DAY 9 of our SUMMER SCHOOL TRANSITION PROGRAM!

1. We had the Raptor Conservancy come in and bring real live Birds of Prey to our school today! This was a big hit with everyone and provided great exposure to wildlife for our biology and science minded students.

2. Mid-term marks are completed! Expect report cards to come home on Monday July 17th. 

WELCOME TO DAY 8 of our SUMMER SCHOOL TRANSITION PROGRAM!

1. Today, our volunteers led a "This or That Game" in our morning exercises.

2. For our surprise during tutorial today - we will have Sunshine Therapy dogs visiting the school to help support students as they finish up their work for mid-term.

3. All assignments must be submitted today to be considered for Mid-Term marks. Mid-Term Report Cards are planned to be sent home on Monday July 17th.

2. We completed our Lockdown drill today successfully! Great work everyone.

1. Remember to sign up for ND Got Talent by e-mailing Ms. Herold to be featured in our Talent Show (Last Day of Summer School)! 

2. If you haven't already submitted your Cineplex permission form and Library Card application, please return your forms NEXT WEEK.

3. Thank-you for an awesome trip to BMO Field today!

Remember to bring: sunglasses, hat, water bottle, lunch, sunscreen, movement clothes, comfortable shoes and any medications needed.

WELCOME TO DAY 2 of our SUMMER SCHOOL TRANSITION PROGRAM!

1. MLSE X ND and CINEPLEX field trip forms due tomorrow, Thursday July 6th in time for our Friday Field Trip. Please pay your $40 activity fee in cash at the office if you have not paid already.

2. Toronto Public Library Cards: Please return your forms by Friday July 14.

3. Sign-up for ND Got Talent by e-mailing Ms. Herold (stephanie.herold@tcdsb.org) by Friday July 14th to be featured in our Talent Show (Last Day of Summer School)! 

4. We will be having a fire drill tomorrow during period 2.

USED UNIFORM SALES will run from 9AM - Noon until Monday July 10th and Wednesday July 12th at our school.  Your parents/guardians were informed via e-mail about the details.  Sales are cash only!
