Welcome to my website! I am a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at Aix-Marseille School of Economics. I am participating in the LINDY project, where we investigate life-cycle inequality dynamics using information collected in the German Socio-Economic Panel (SOEP) with record-linked administrative microdata from the statutory German pension system. During 2023, I have visited Carlos III Madrid and the DIW Berlin.
I am on the 2023/2024 Job Market.
In my job market paper (joint with Elie-Vidal Naquet), we investigate how broadband internet access affects firms market power in both product and labor markets. We first estimate firm-level markups and markdowns based on firm balance sheet data. In order to understand we the effect of broadband internet, we exploit the staggered introduction of broadband internet in France in the early 2000s in our difference-in-differences design.
I received my PhD from Trinity College Dublin as a Grattan Scholar. My thesis covered various topics in the area of labor economics of macroeconomic interest using microeconometric data. During my PhD, I was a Visiting Scholar at Columbia University, and I worked as a research intern in the Economics Department at the OECD.
My research explores how macroeconomic events impact the lives of individuals. I seek to analyze how labor market outcomes of workers change due to macroeconomic shocks or structural transformations, in particular related to technological progress in the form of automation and information and communication technology. My research interests lie in Labor Economics, Macroeconomics, Applied Econometrics and Industrial Organization.
