A core philosophy of mine is that quality pedagogy requires recognising the environment of one's students. Above all else, it is clear to any mathematics student the severe skew of gender representation at the graduate level. In 2019 I co-organised a discussion group with Mathematrix, then used this discourse to suggest policy changes in the department from my role on the Consultative Committee for Graduates. One change I have piloted is the creation of a poster series on 26 influential female & non-binary mathematicians, now in the process of being presented in the Mathematical Institute.
