A walking dinner is an amazing way to meet new people over food & drinks. We originally started organizing walking dinners in Dublin as a way for expats to mingle and expand their network in the city. Starting 2020 we will organize walking dinners in Amsterdam. Our walking dinners are for everyone who wants to expand their network, meet new people and enjoy good food.
It doesn't matter what age you are, if you're an expat, a local, a student or a working professional. We encourage everyone who's interested to sign up and participate!
Our walking dinners consist of a three course meal (starter, main, dessert) spread out over the city. Participants have to sign up as a pair (sign up with your partner, friend, colleague or flatmate etc...). Each course is hosted by a different pair of participants in their home, you are expected to host two other pairs. Participants find out two days before the event for which course they are expected to host. After dessert all participants meet up at a pre-booked location for an afterparty (optional).
Example: after singing up with a friend you get assigned the main course. You start your walking dinner at someone else's home for the starter, afterwards you go back home to host two other pairs for the main course. After the main course you all leave your home to go for dessert at someone else's home.
We try and build the routes for each pair in such a way that you will not share a meal with the same pair twice. That way you get to meet twelve new people in one evening!
