This week, we will continue our informational text unit by focusing on author's purpose, text structures, and text features. Students will also practice writing informational texts using clear main ideas, relevant details, and strong conclusions.

ASSIGNMENTS:

This week, students will wrap up our Classification Unit by learning how to use dichotomous keys to identify organisms. Completed (prefilled) study guides will be sent home on Monday to help students prepare for our Unit 2 Test. A practice blooket is also posted to Google Classroom. We will have a review game on Thursday, followed by our Unit 2 Test on Friday, November 6. Please encourage your child to review their study guide throughout the week!

STANDARD: SS7G10 Explain the impact of environmental issues across southern and eastern Asia.

ASSIGNMENTS: This week, students will learn about major environmental issues in Southeast Asia. Students will complete guided notes, class activities, and review questions as we learn about environmental issues.

HOMEWORK: Review their notes and vocabulary from class to prepare for Southeast Asia's Environmental Issues quiz.
