WEEK OF: August 17th - 21st

STANDARD: 7.NR.1-2

This week, students will continue building their skills with rational numbers. We will begin by learning how to multiply and divide integers and then apply rational number operations to real-world word problems. Midweek, students will explore measurement conversions with a hands-on Smarties activity. We’ll finish the week by learning about properties of operations and the distributive property, followed by a review and quiz. Students will also use Delta Math throughout the week for additional practice.

ASSIGNMENTS: The Flow of Energy: Food Webs and Chains in Habitats. Students will take the Week 2 Quick Check on Monday after completing stations on Thursday and Friday of last week. Students will ALSO have Week 3 Quick Check on The Flow of Energy this Friday.

HOMEWORK: Study weekly vocabulary, and complete

any unfinished/missing classwork.
