Starting Tuesday, we will be taking a closer look at our next ancient river civilization: Ancient India. We will learn about its society, culture, economy, religion, and philosophical schools of thought that derived from Ancient India.

Monday - Explain to Students the Lydians are important for first coining money. Explain to students the importance of the Israelites and that they were monotheistic and the importance of the 10 commandments and the Hebrew Tradition that leads to Christianity. Students should complete Guided Reading worksheets 2-3 and 2-4 using the textbook. Turn in when complete.

Tuesday - Introduce the Indus River Valley in India. Indus river civilization text selection with questions to complete. Show Crash Course Video: Indus River Valley.

Wednesday - Briefly explain Hinduism and show Hinduism 101 video (10:00). Briefly explain Buddhism and show Buddhism 101 video (10:00). Summarize the two videos. Complete Graphic Organizer over the two religions.

Thursday -Introduce the River valley civilizations in China. Crash Course World History #5: 2000 years of Chinese History (12:00). Guided Reading Worksheets 3-3 and 3-4.
