On 17 November 2025, the Youth Empowerment Programme successfully conducted its workshop titled “Navigate the Supply Chain: Your Roadmap to Career Success.” The session was led by experienced facilitators including Ms. Aznira Zakaria, Logistics lecturer from TAR UMT, together with Dr. Soon Shu Bee and Ms. Nadiera Zakariah. The workshop brought together 26 enthusiastic youths and 6 chaperones who were eager to learn about the fast-evolving supply chain industry. Participants were introduced to essential supply chain functions such as procurement, inventory control, warehousing and distribution, and they gained an understanding of how these interconnected activities ensure smooth and efficient business operations.

The workshop also highlighted important trends and technological advancements that are transforming the industry. Through engaging discussions and practical examples, the facilitators explained the growing use of automation, data analytics and digital tracking tools, including insights into modern automated warehouse systems. These exposures helped participants appreciate the wide range of career pathways available in the supply chain field and the skills required to succeed in this dynamic sector. Overall, the programme provided meaningful knowledge, guidance and inspiration for youths exploring future opportunities in supply chain management.
