TAR UMT × Cisco NetAcad MoU Commemorative Ceremony
On 8 June 2026, TAR UMT Pahang Branch successfully held the Opening Ceremony of the Youth Empowerment Programme (YEP) 2026 alongside the TAR UMT × Cisco NetAcad MoU Commemorative Ceremony, marking the official launch of this year’s YEP series and reaffirming the university’s commitment to industry collaboration and digital skills development.
The ceremony commenced with a welcome address by Mr. Tan Ying Yi, Branch Head of TAR UMT Pahang Branch, followed by a speech from Mr. Adri Gautama, Indonesia NetAcad Business Development Manager overseeing Malaysia, Singapore, and Brunei. The programme also featured the screening of the TAR UMT corporate video and a recap video of YEP 2025, before proceeding to the MoU commemorative ceremony and photography session.
The opening ceremony was attended by 113 students and 2 chaperones from Kolej Tingkatan Enam Astana, Kuantan, who subsequently participated in the various YEP 2026 workshops. The event symbolised TAR UMT Pahang Branch’s continued dedication to empowering youth through meaningful industry partnerships, experiential learning opportunities, and the development of future-ready skills.
International Guest Lecture from UNIMAL
On 4 April 2026, TAR UMT Pahang Branch successfully organised an International Guest Lecture featuring Dr. Naufal Bachri from Universitas Malikussaleh (UNIMAL), Indonesia, conducted via Google Meet. The session, moderated by Dr. Mohd Remie bin Mohd Johan, focused on Sales Force and Channel Management and was attended by 10 students enrolled in BBDT3253 Marketing Metrics.
The lecture aimed to provide students with international perspectives on marketing practices and to enhance their understanding beyond classroom learning. The content was well aligned with the syllabus, and participants found the session clear, relevant, and engaging. Students particularly appreciated the structured delivery and valuable insights shared by the speaker.
Overall, the lecture successfully enriched students’ learning experience, strengthened academic collaboration with UNIMAL, and supported TAR UMT’s commitment to global learning exposure.
TAR UMT Lecturers as Guest Speakers at UNIMAL
On 10 January 2026, Universitas Malikussaleh (UNIMAL), Aceh, Indonesia, invited Dr. Mohd Remie Mohd Johan, a lecturer from Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT) Pahang Branch, to deliver an international guest lecture for the Master’s course in Organisational Behaviour.
The session, conducted online via Zoom, focused on Power and Politics in Organisations and was attended by 30 participants, comprising UNIMAL postgraduate students and lecturers. The lecture provided valuable cross-border academic engagement, enriching students’ understanding through practical insights and international perspectives in organisational behaviour.
