The Faculty of Computing and Information Technology (FOCS) held the Academic Programme Advisor (APA) meetings on 1 July 2026 at the TAR UMT Main Campus. The meetings were conducted for the programmes offered by the Faculty. As the name suggests, the APAs provides input on the current and future needs of the industry. The meetings were chaired by the respective Associate Deans, together with the Programme Leaders and lecturers of the respective programmes as panel members.
The meetings were productive, as the panel members and advisers exchanged positive and constructive feedback on various aspects, including the curriculum, academic programmes, learning outcomes, syllabuses, facilities, pedagogy, as well as academic and industry trends.
