Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology students were the Champions for Cisco Networking Academy Packet Tracer 2019 competition which was held in APU University, Kuala Lumpur on 14 Mar 2019. There were 7 teams from various institutions of higher learning who participated in this competition.
Organized by Cisco, this competition is a great opportunity for Networking Academy students to learn valuable Networking/IT skills through a simulation activities using Cisco Packet Tracer.
The champion winners are Lam Xue Er, Yap Jun Jie, Choo Jun Ming, Cheow Jia Jian, from the programme of Bachelor of Information Technology (Honours) in Information Security (RIS), from Faculty of Computing and Information Technology (FOCS). They won a cash prize of RM1000.
During the competition, the students had to complete gruelling tasks within a limited time frame. The preparation for the competition was essential. They had to make time to practise their networking skills on a daily basis, with the guidance from their mentors. It was not an easy task, but it paid off in the end.
The students praised their lecturers cum Cisco instructors, namely, Ts. Chok Len Mooi, Mr. Low Choon Keat and Ts. Jessie Teoh Poh Lin for their unwavering commitment and dedication in providing them with professional guidance and encouragement for the competition.
