TAR UMT added another feather in its cap when it was recently awarded the Cisco Hall of Fame Overall Growth Award 2019.

The Cisco Hall of Fame Overall Growth Award was bestowed in recognition of TAR UMT’s tireless efforts in growing the number of students enrolled in Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) academic programmes run by the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology (FOCS).

There are currently three degree programmes at FOCS adopting the Cisco academic curriculum, namely the Bachelor of Information Technology (Hons) in Software Systems Development, the Bachelor of Information Technology (Hons) in Internet Technology, and the Bachelor of Information Technology (Hons) in Information Security. TAR UMT also has 12 CCNA instructors at its Kuala Lumpur Main Campus conducting the abovementioned classes.

“I am proud to note that our CCNA lecturers are using comprehensive e-materials to add more value to the learning aspect of the programmes,” said Ts Chok Len Mooi, Deputy Dean of FOCS. “Our lecturers are truly dedicated to their work, and they are constantly encouraging their students to do their best and become valuable members of the workforce when they eventually graduate.”
