Create a Schedule with your student

Here is a great activity to help get your student organized! Create a class schedule with contact information.

Click the link above to open a sample schedule that we have started for you. When the file opens, go to File>Make a copy so that your student can add his/her own information.

Have your student log in to his/her OnCourse Connect.

  1. Go to Schedule and have them type in his/her teachers' names and subjects in the first column in the same order as his/her schedule.

  2. Go to Dashboard. Each teacher is listed at the bottom with a blue link to their class webpage. Have your student read the information on each teacher's web page to determine if the teacher will use OnCourse or Google Classroom as their learning platform then erase the text in column 4 to show the correct platform.

  3. On each web page, the teacher will have their email listed. Copy/Paste each teacher's address next to their name in Column 2.

  4. Some teachers will have their Zoom link posted on his/her web page as well. If your teacher has it posted, copy/paste the link into column 6.

  5. In column 5, delete the text written and replace it with A Day or B Day depending on the subject.

This will give both you and your student a daily schedule that will help him/her remember which classes zoom on which day as well as easy access to the teacher's email information if there is a need to contact the teacher.

Hint: Use Ctrl+C to copy; Use Ctrl+shift+V when pasting to make it match the size and formatting of the table so you do not have to keep adjusting size and color.
