We’re excited to share some great news from Nicholls State University for Fall 2026 applicants!

Our new Freshman Scholarship Chart expands eligibility. Students can now qualify for scholarships through either of these paths:

Eligibility is based on the applicant's highest composite ACT (not superscore) and unweighted GPA.

The scholarship deadline remains January 5th, and December ACT scores will count toward eligibility. Students can still register for the December ACT test through November 24 at act.org.

We’re also updating our Scholars Banquet process! This year, scholarship offers will be emailed to students beginning December 8, and we’ll honor recipients at an optional Scholarship Reception in late January/early February. Invitations will be emailed to students in the coming weeks.

We’re excited to make the scholarship process easier and more accessible for students. We are working to enhance our scholarship program.
