I will have Thursdays set aside as makeup days if students need. Students may come in during specials to complete missed work from my class. After a week, the opportunity to complete the work will be lost.
Please encourage and remind your child about making up work when school is missed. I am not able to keep up with everyone's missed work and completion. A daily to-do will be posted in the Google Classroom stream. It will inform you and your student of what was done in class. These activities will be located in the classwork section if it is a computer-based activity. If it requires no physical paper copy and is not a test or quiz, it can be made up at home. Paper copies will be located in class at the AWW (Absent Work Wall). The makeup assignment will only be available to complete for up to a week after it was done in class.
Check Google Classroom to see what was missed.
Find paper copies of missed work at the AWW (Absent Work Wall) in the classroom. It is separated by day of the week, and will remain available for 1 week after being placed there.
All work should be turned into the absent block bin assigned to the student's class.
Folders will be used for students showing a need for behavior intervention, support, and tracking. Once a student is given a blue folder, the student will have to work towards the goal of earning their way out of the blue folder to regain certain class privileges and rewards. This is done by showing consistent, improved behavior over a period of set time.
Please view blue folders as an intentional, consistent system to get the student on track! Everyone needs a second chance, but this ensures it is given with supports and tracking to monitor improvement and success! Let's win each day! #GameOn
Do not make up tests or quizzes at home!
