Bio
I have worked on large-scale infrastructure projects, including the Diamer–Basha Dam, one of the world’s tallest roller-compacted concrete dams, as well as flood response operations during the severe flooding in Bentiu, South Sudan. My field experience encompasses construction and execution in challenging terrains, ranging from high-altitude mountain passes to remote and logistically constrained regions. Working in these environments shaped my understanding of how engineering decisions perform under real conditions, beyond drawings and calculations. Over time, this practical exposure led me toward academic work, where I now focus on strengthening my understanding of structural behavior and developing data-driven approaches such as digital twins for structural health monitoring, with the aim of bridging on-site engineering practice and research-based solutions.
