Brief Bio:
Dr. Diana Paez obtained her bachelor’s in Civil Engineering at the Universidad de Los Andes, Merida, Venezuela, later she graduated from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor with a Philosophy Doctorate in Civil and Environmental Engineering, she also holds Master of Sciences in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Iowa at Iowa City.
Dr. Paez worked as a professor at the Universidad de Los Andes for more than 20 years, where she was dedicated to teaching undergraduate and graduate students as well as carried administrative activities. She has taught courses related to fluid dynamics, hydraulics, introduction to water resources, introduction to hydrology, among others. Diana is currently working as an Instructional professor at Texas A&M University, where she expects to bring her experience in teaching combined with new engaging techniques to help students succeed in their studies in Civil Engineering.
