Current Role and Leadership

I currently oversee high school mathematics programs as the Mathematics Coordinator for Alvin ISD. I reestablished and currently serve as the president of the Houston Area Math Leadership Network (HMLN), which supports mathematics education leaders within the Houston area. Additionally, I am the President of the Texas Association of Supervisors of Mathematics (TASM), a state organization dedicated to advancing leadership in mathematics education.

Academic Pursuits

I graduated in May 2025 with an Ed.D at Texas A&M University in College Station. My record of study involved a mixed-methods research focused on the emergent and thematic identification of elements influencing teacher perceptions of job satisfaction within secondary mathematics teaching.

Research and Educational Interests

I am broadly interested in educational systems that create environments conducive to both secondary learners and educators. My focus areas include flexible scheduling, mastery learning, standards-based grading, and secondary systems for response to intervention.

Professional Background

Before entering a coordinator role, I taught mathematics in junior high and high school across three Texas school districts: Irving, Coppell, and Alvin.
