This project proposes an internal research study of the Biomedical Sciences Association (BSA) at Texas A&M University to evaluate the organization’s ability to retain active members and identify strategies that encourage long-term engagement. The team will analyze attendance records, survey and interview members and officers, and observe meetings to assess participation levels and satisfaction. Secondary research will supplement these findings through established retention and student involvement models. By comparing the selected, researched frameworks to the organization’s current practices, the team aims to provide the BSA leadership with practical, evidence-based recommendations to strengthen member retention. The results of this research will be presented through a virtual poster and team presentation in Block 4.
