Bio

I am leading an innovative research project on developing biomaterial approaches to recruit immune cells at bone defects to promote faster healing. The study exploits the vaccination status to elicit a secondary immune response using MAP hydrogels to enhance in situ bone regeneration. In this project, I will combine vaccination and subsequent antigenic delivery by MAP hydrogels to orchestrate the immune response and bone tissue regeneration. I'm using click chemistry, bone defect modeling, microCT, and histology to shed light on the novel approach in bone immunotherapy.
