Bio

The success of biomaterials-based therapeutics is linked to the immune responses they provoke. My research seeks to shift from an inflammatory to a regenerative response by developing gelatin hydrogels functionalized with novel immunomodulatory compounds. By incorporating these advanced materials, I aim to reduce inflammation, promote biomaterial integration, and create a platform that is truly compatible with (not merely tolerated by) the immune system.
