Spinal cord injury (SCI) is a neurological trauma that can cause a serious socioeconomic burden on the patient and the healthcare system. Most SCIs result in the patients losing their sensing and motoring ability. I am developing an injectable in situ assembled granular hydrogel to promote axon regeneration in SCI. The research will focus on modifying the properties of granular hydrogel or incorporating bioactive molecules to achieve the goal.
