PROCESS TO OBTAIN A WORK PERMIT
All minors under 18 years of age employed in the state of California must have a permit to work. After obtaining a promise of employment, students should complete the Work Permit Request Form
The student must complete the "minor" section, request that the employer and parent complete their sections (making certain to obtain both required signatures), and then return the completed form to the College & Career Center or email Keila at kitzun@tamdistrict.org.
Please note that work permits will be processed once every business day, so students should plan accordingly.
WORK PERMITS OVER SUMMER
During the summer, students can obtain a work permit from Sylvia Mathews, Administrative Assistant to our Principal. Please email or call Sylvia Mathews to set up an appointment: smathews@tamdistrict.org or 415.380.3510.
Work permits expire five days after the opening of the next succeeding school year. Once a work permit expires, a student needs to request a renewal. For more information, please visit the College & Career Center.
