WHAT IS NAVIANCE?
Naviance is an online tool offered to all Tamalpais students and parents that you can use to navigate college, careers and future plans.
The system is connected with TAM and allows for data analysis:
Can see statistics from past TAM students who were accepted or denied to a specific college.
Can view your transcript and grades
Naviance also contains a library of resources for self- discovery like assessments to help explore career paths
LOGGING IN TO NAVIANCE
Every student has their own Naviance account , and it is automatically activated when they start at Tamalpais High School. Here are the steps for student to login in:
Go to this page or Find the Naviance icon in your TAM Portal
Click on the Student icon
Put in our school's zip code if prompted (94941)
Choose Tamalpais High School if applicable
Click on the green button entitled "Continue with Single Sign On"
Use your Tam District email and password
Parents also have access to an account, but there are steps they need to take in order to register.
Whereas student accounts are automatically registered when they start at Tamalpais High School, parents have to manually activate their accounts. Please email the College & Career Specialist to activate your account.
EXPLORING NAVIANCE
Once logged in, you will see a welcome message and your TO-Do and Tasks list on the homepage.

Self Discovery: Take some simple assessments to learn and reflect on your personality, achievements, career paths, and interests.
Career Exploration: Explore career paths and hear from professionals from the library videos held in the Roadtrip Nation. View clusters of careers in a field to find what interests you and what you might be well suited for.
College Search: Start the college application process by searching for colleges and creating a college list. View acceptance rates from previous Tam students and find schools based on your individual preferences.
Planner: Plan for success by setting goals for yourself and creating smaller tasks to accomplish. View any assigned tasks from your Counselor or College & Career.
