In New Zealand the Building and Construction Industry is booming. In the next few years, New Zealand is going to need many young, skilled people in this area in the Auckland region.
The programme is designed to you get you started on a career in building. It is a hands-on; project based learning to give you skills in the building and construction sector. You will learn how to manage hand tools, power tools as well as machinery.
There is a high need of qualified builders in New Zealand and with the skills you gain through your Trades programme, you will be highly employable as a qualified builder. After completing the course, you could become an apprentice with a building and construction company, or you could go on and study in a range of areas including carpentry, level 3 and 4 programmes.
