šŸ˜³ #NSFW

On Pluspora we are not as prudish as networks like Google+ and Facebook. We do allow not suitable for work (nsfw) content, but please know there are some rules and stipulations around said content.

When to use the #nsfw hashtag

If you are composing a post and it is nsfw, include the hashtag #nsfw. This creates an extra step where the user who sees the post, has to choose to press a button to open the nsfw content. This gives users the choice of whether to expose themselves to the post or not. Posts that are nsfw, but aren't tagged will be deleted. If a user continues to post content without the tag, after warnings, their profile will be banned. Respect others and give them choice.

Sexuality/nudity

Sexuality and nudity are both allowed on the Pluspora... to an extent. We prefer it be of an artistic or erotic nature. Keeping in mind that we are not simply a porn-sharing site. While we allow this, it should be noted that workplaces / family environments can have very strict policies on what is considered inappropriate. This is why we want you to use the #nsfw tag for partial nudity as well as anything explicit.

When sexuality/nudity is instantly rejected:

    1. when it is illegal in nature:
    2. content is posted without the #nsfw tag.
    3. nsfw profile pictures are a no-no (no nudity, no sex, no dick pics, or even drawings of dick pics).
    4. unsolicited nsfw content:
      • such as; sending nsfw content directly to a user in a private message when they have not requested it, tagging users in a nsfw post when they have not requested it, requesting nsfw content from someone (like a nude picture). Requesting and sending unsolicited nsfw content to someone without their permission can be considered sexual harassment, illegal, and punishable by law. Respect each other.

Explicit violence

Sharing explicit violence on Pluspora is very sketchy. If it is shared for the purpose of a news story, like a link to a news story which happens to have footage that is graphic within a news report video, that's one thing. Posting videos of a journalist beheading, rape, or police shooting an unharmed person without a clear newsworthy purpose, and not properly tagged #nsfw could be considered out of context or with the intent to enrage or offend. Hate speech can come in all forms of media, not just words. If we determine the posting of a graphic image or video isn't newsworthy, but rather inflammatory and derogatory and/or intended to incite rage, hate, or harm it will be considered a violation of our terms.
