About Troop 7

South Pasadena Troop 7 was founded in 1914.  We have a proud history of supporting South Pasadena and the surrounding community with events such as the South Pasadena 4th of July Festival of Balloons.   Many Troop 7 Eagle Projects can be found around South Pasadena, including the South Pasadena Nature Park and South Pasadena Middle School.  

Troop 7 is scout-led and is a very active troop, meeting weekly. We go on monthly camping trips, hikes, and participate in community service projects.  Camping trips include both car camping and back packing.  Every year we attend a week-long Scouting USA summer camp.   This past summer, Troop 7 was fortunate to be able to participate in Camp Royaneh's 100 year celebration as part of the summer camp experience.  

About Troop 7G

South Pasadena Troop 7G was founded in June 2023 by a group of graduating 5th grade girl Cub Scouts who wanted to be a part of a Scouting America Scout Troop in their own community.  We are the sister Troop to South Pasadena Troop 7B.

Troop 7G participates in the Troop 7 camping and hiking trips, along with planning 7G specifc events, such as camping, cooking, and hiking.   Many 7G scouts are also passionate about the arts, music, and science and the scouts plan outings for these interests, as well.

In addition to the various outdoor opportunities that Scouting offers, many scouts also enjoy moving up in rank and attaining merit badges.   The leaders and parents of Troop 7G are dedicated to helping the scouts who pursue this path.  We hold monthly sessions for rank advancement and Eagle merit badge requirements within our troop.

Many, but not all, of our Scouts are from South Pasadena.  We welcome scouts from all places in our Troop.
