This Privacy Policy applies to the Locator: Task Manager mobile application and SaaS software platform, together with any related web interfaces, services, and APIs operated by Synosys Technologies LLC (collectively, the "Application" or "Services"). Synosys Technologies LLC is referred to herein as the "Service Provider," "we," "us," or "our."
This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, process, and protect data from users of our Services, including administrators, fleet managers, and field staff or drivers operating assets, vehicles, school buses, or delivery fleets.
Data Controller vs. Data Processor: Where our Services are deployed by an enterprise, school, employer, or fleet operator ("Customer"), the Customer acts as the Data Controller regarding driver and asset monitoring. If you are a driver or field staff member, your employer's internal privacy policies and employment agreements also govern how your vehicle and location data is monitored.
The Application collects information when you download, log into, and use the Services. We process this data to deliver, maintain, secure, and improve fleet management and task tracking features.
Account & Profile Data: Full name, email address, phone number, account password, driver/employee ID, and profile images/avatars.
Precise & Background Location Data: The Application collects real-time geographic location data from your device. This includes background location tracking (collecting location data even when the app is closed or not in active use) to support core capabilities such as continuous route monitoring, geofence alerts, live fleet tracking, task assignment, and driver safety functions.
Vehicle & Operational Telemetry: Speed, mileage, trip history, route logs, and performance metrics related to managed assets or vehicles.
Device & Technical Identifiers: Device IP address, unique device identifiers, mobile operating system, browser type, application version, and system usage logs (pages visited, access dates, and time spent in-app).
The Application or its underlying infrastructure may use cookies, SDKs, and mobile tracking technologies to support functionality and service delivery.
Google Maps API: The Application incorporates the Google Maps API to provide location, mapping, and routing features. By using this Application, you acknowledge that mapping services are subject to the Google Privacy Policy.
Third-Party SDKs: Third-party infrastructure tools (e.g., cloud hosting, database management, and error logging) process technical data strictly as necessary to execute Application features.
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing or commercial advertising purposes.
We disclose personal data and telemetry only in the following limited circumstances:
Subprocessors & Infrastructure Providers: We share data with trusted third-party service providers (such as cloud hosting facilities and mapping API providers) who assist in running our business and delivering the Services, under strict contractual confidentiality obligations.
As Required by Law: To comply with legal process, subpoenas, or enforceable government requests.
Safety and Protection: When believed in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our legal rights, defend against liability, investigate fraud, or protect the safety of users or the public.
Corporate Transfers: In connection with any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business.
The Service Provider or its third-party infrastructure vendors may transfer, store, and process personal data in countries outside your country of residence, including outside the European Economic Area (EEA).
Where applicable law requires safeguards for cross-border transfers, we execute appropriate legal mechanisms, including:
Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission
Adequacy decisions or recognized legal transfer frameworks
The Service Provider retains personal data only as long as necessary to fulfill the operational purposes set forth in this policy:
User Account Data: Retained for the active duration of your account or customer agreement, plus 12 months thereafter, unless longer retention is required by law.
Location & Telemetry Data: Retained for up to 24 months from collection to support reporting and historical analytics, unless longer retention is specified by the Data Controller or required for compliance.
Aggregated and Anonymized Data: Retained indefinitely, as it no longer identifies any individual.
Depending on your jurisdiction (including under GDPR, CCPA/CPRA), you may hold specific rights regarding your personal information:
Access & Portability: Request a copy of the personal data held about you.
Correction & Deletion: Request correction of inaccurate data or deletion of your personal records (subject to active legal obligations).
California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA): California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to opt-out of any potential sale/sharing (we do not sell your data), and the right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights. Precise geolocation is treated as Sensitive Personal Information used strictly to perform requested Services.
In-App Controls: You can halt all future mobile data collection by uninstalling the Application or adjusting your mobile operating system's location permission settings (note that disabling location permissions will disable core tracking features).

We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. This includes encryption technology in transit and at rest, alongside standard access control protocols.
In the event of a security incident or data breach affecting your personal data, we will notify affected users and relevant regulators in accordance with applicable statutory timeline requirements.
The Application is designed exclusively for enterprise and professional use and is not intended for children under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly solicit or collect personal information from individuals under 18. If we learn that a minor has submitted personal data, we will immediately purge that information from our systems.
The Service Provider reserves the right to update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated Privacy Policy within the Application or via direct administrative communication with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Services after revisions take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
