Day 3

Details - Marché Bastille, Montmatre, Champs-Élsées, Tour de Eiffel

After a good night's rest and a sleep in, we headed off to Montmartre, we were off to visit Sacre Coeur. We caught the metro via Concorde where we then walked to a local cemetery which had thousands of decorative tomb stones. While Mr Clark rushed quickly through to find Degas' grave, a famous artist who was known for artworks such as "Little Dancer of Fourteen Years," others had a quiet stroll through the trees and stones of the cemetery.

We left, bound for Sacre Coeur where we took a detour to Vincent Van Gogh's house, number 54 Rue Lepic. We all placed our hands on his door and posed for photos.

While walking among the streets of Montmartre, we found various shops, markets and buskers. We had a few hours to roam the streets freely, purchasing all kinds of souvenirs such as pink berets and baguettes. Some went through the grand Basilica of Sacre Coeur while others sat in the sun. As we walked back to the metro, we walked past Pablo Picasso's house. This was the place where paintings such as "Les Demoiselles d'Avignon" were created. We left via Abbsess Metro for Champs Elysee. We spent hours in the sun and shops spending countless euros on gifts and mementos.

We prepared while back in our hotel for our night outing. We caught the metro to the Eiffel Tower where we were surprised by thousands of tourists fighting for the perfect photo of the tower. We walked up towards the Eiffel Tower to the base where we laid down at 10pm when the tower lights sparkled.

Highlights: Visiting Vincent Van Gogh's House, lunch in Montmatre, Eiffel Tower Gypsies.
