ELM Enterprise Learning Management

Course A course is an entire professional development offering.

Delivery Method Defines how the course is delivered to learners. For example, online learning, classroom instruction, seminar, books.

Class An instance of a course. A class is comprised of learning components, which are characteristised by how they deliver the instructional content to learners. A class contains at least one learning component.

Component Learning components are building blocks that comprise a Class. Components include sessions, tests, assignment, webcast.

Session Sessions are a type of learning component

Instructor Access Access to ELM for employees who are responsible for uploading courses

Class Roster List of people enrolled in a class

Learner group Learner groups are the diocese that are linked to PHRIS. Associate a class with at least one learner group. If you do not select a learner group, learners cannot access this activity. If you would like to make your course and class available to other diocese, add them as learner groups.

Course Category logical groupings of courses that enable learners and managers to easily browse and search for appropriate professional development.

Course Keyword Additional terms not already represented in the item name or description that learners and administrators might use to search the learning catalog to find courses.

Course Code The course code is an automatically generated code that is unique to the course

Enterprise learning Enterprise Learning is an internet-based solution that enables organisations to deliver courses and content to learners from a variety of sources.

Submit Once you have entered all course details, delivery method and all classes, the course needs to be submitted for approval by clicking the 'Submit' button. You will only be able to 'Submit' your course once all these are entered. The ELM administrator will receive a notification of a course pending approval. Once it is approved, the instructor will receive a notification.
